Access automation and improving security in construction sites are a popular application for ANPRonline systems. The need was for identification of unknown/unauthorised vehicles accessing the site during give time parameters. The system required immediate alert tools and consistently high accuracy capture.
Problem
Repeated after hours thefts of material on a construction site.
Solution set-up
Intelligent ANPR cameras combined with ANPRonline software and supported periphery devices including flood lighting were used as the optimum solution system. All vehicles identified were recorded in and out and checked against access lists for approval. Any unknown or unauthorised vehicles identified after specific time frames triggered an instant alert to security company and subsequently triggered both the alarm flood lights.
Result
Vehicles being used in the thefts were identified within two weeks of installation including unauthorised vehicles and daytime staff for reporting and investigation. Other vehicles were also identified that had been using the area for drag racing with follow up actions being completed quickly.
